GA3 treatments on seed germination in <i>Rhodothamnus sessilifolius</i>, an endangered species in Turkey

Rhodothamnus sessilifolius is a species of the Ericaceae family endemic to Artvin province in NE Turkey. This critically endangered list and current populations are decreasing, therefore, it requires protection reproduction. Thus present study aimed investigate effect various gibberellic acid (GA3) applications on germination R. seeds. The effects GA3 concentrations final percentage, mean time, value, rate were analyzed growth cabinet. demonstrated that application positively affected germination. Seed percentages 2.22 %, 18.89 17.78 15.56 % control group for 100, 500 1000 ppm concentrations, respectively. First was observed seeds treated with after 11 days. There significant differences (P < 0.05) between all measured properties. These results promising future conservation strategies.
